Hello and Happy Wednesday! Tonight at my woman's Bible study, the teacher was talking about what it means to be successful. She read off the dictionary version of the word "success", and then we discussed what that word really means to us, as Christians. Yes, we do want to be successful in all that we do, but the word "success" to us really means being obedient to Christ and following His will for our life. When we listen to God and obey what He wants us to do, then we are truly successful. That is a wonderful feeling to me! Then, when we obey God and follow His will for our life, He will bless us! That is awesome. Isn't God so good? On another note, have you ever wondered why life is hard sometimes, even though you know you are obeying God and doing exactly what you know He wants you to do? I have been thinking about that lately, and then our pastor preached a sermon a couple of Sunday nights ago about "God's Timing." He mentioned that being in God's will is sometimes frustrating and difficult. It will not always be smooth sailing, and it may often times be inconvenient and disruptive. This inconvenience and disruption doesn't mean that you have missed God! (Wow! That really spoke to me.) Sometimes God disrupts us, when He is leading us to where He wants us to be. He may be the unseen force behind the pressure, and often times you can't see His miracles until things in life get hard. We must, daily, be sensitive to God's promptings and always remember that His finger is on our life.
