Saturday

Today was such a nice day, and to top it off the weather was absolutely beautiful! Michael got up early this morning to go hunting for teel (which I learned was a type of duck). He didn't shoot any, but he and his friend had a nice time. While Michael was hunting, the boys and I went to our church's outreach they were doing this morning. We handed out free bottled waters to people at a local outdoor soccer complex. Each bottle we passed out had a sticker on it with our church's name and service times. That was fun, and it was nice to see the boys helping out! Our afternoon was nice and quiet. Michael made hamburgers for lunch, as well as baked beans and queso, and he had it all ready for us when we got home from the outreach. That was so sweet and thoughtful of him! After lunch, Michael, Blake, and Easton took a nap, and I decided to go for a jog. It was so nice to get out and run. I haven't done that in a long time, but lately I have felt impressed to go out and run again. Before kids, I used to run all the time. Well, after Michael and the boys woke up, we decided to go out and work in the front yard. I just love a freshly mowed yard. It always looks so nice! While Michael was mowing, the boys and I threw the football around, and then they rode on their bikes and scooter. Tonight, we went to my parents house for dinner. Mom made spaghetti (I just love her homemade spaghetti sauce.) and a cheesecake. Everything was delicious! So, what more could I have asked for today? We enjoyed the gorgeous weather and spent time with family. I would say that makes for a terrific day!
