Something to Ponder On

For the past couple weeks I have really been thinking about how AWESOME God is to us! I can remember last Sunday morning in our praise and worship service, we sang "How Great Is Our God". Tears began to fall down my face, as I became completely overwhelmed with how God has blessed us, especially in the past couple of months. My thoughts traveled back to this past year and how God has taken care of our family and has made sure all of our needs have been met and then some! God has been so good to us, and we have so much to be thankful for! Also, I immediately thought about how God has blessed us with such happy, healthy children who love Jesus and love to go to church, even at their young age. What an incredible privilege it is for Michael and me to be their parents.

Well, as I went about my daily life this past week, I continued to ponder on God's love and His goodness to us. I thought about how awesome it is that we can go to our Heavenly Father and share with Him our needs and the desires of our heart, and He hears us and wants to answer our prayers in His perfect timing! God cares so much for us, He loves us beyond our imagination, and He takes such awesome care of us.

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I got to thinking about some verses in the Bible that I could remember reading and underlining, but I couldn't remember exactly where in the Bible I had read it; so, I began to look through my Bible and finally found what I was looking for. Here are the verses:

"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!" Ephesians 3:17b-21

God loves us so much and wants the absolute best for us. He is a great God, and He blesses us far beyond what we could ever imagine.
