Encouragement For Today!

I just was thinking about something this morning that was an encouragement to me as a mom; so, I thought I would share it with all of my friends out there. Last night at church, the lady on our video mentioned this verse:

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

Wow! That is a great verse! I don't know about you, but I have certainly felt weary lately, when it comes to disciplining my children! Does anyone else feel like this? I know that I have talked with a couple of friends just in the past day or so, that have said about the same thing. Yes, we all have wonderful children, whom we love so much, and one of our awesome responsibilities is to raise our children up in the Lord; but, that is so hard to do on those days where we are just flat out tired...weary!

Well, according to Galatians 6:9, we, as tired moms, can be encouraged today!!! In the "proper time" (or in due season), "we will reap a harvest if we don't give up." I translate that to mean that if we don't give up in training our children in the Lord and disciplining them, when they need to be corrected, we will see the fruits of our labor. We will raise godly children, who love the Lord and know right from wrong....who portray the Fruits of the Spirit in their life! Then, in turn, they will know how to someday train up their children.

So, you tired moms out there, be encouraged today (I am really speaking to myself right now!). Keep on doing a good job. Yes, we will lose our patience at times, or feel like we could have handled a situation better, but don't get discouraged. Do not get weary! We are training up wonderful children for God's Kingdom!

I love you all, and I pray that you will have a super day!!!

I had to come back and read this today and boy, I have to tell you, it had a whole new meaning! We've been having some really big struggles with G lately and we are so worn down and discouraged. I think I'm moving on from "being weary in doing good" to being weary in doing bad! My yelling is turning to screaming, my patience is turning to snapping, etc. But thank you for the encouraging verse and support! We can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks!
