Happy New Year!

Well, Michael and I actually stayed up until midnight this year to see the ball drop in New York City! It seems like the past couple of years, we just were too tired and ended up going to bed before midnight. You know you are getting older, when you can no longer stay up to watch the ball drop in NYC on New Years!

So, I have been thinking a lot about New Years resolutions. I don't normally make any resolutions, because I was always worried about breaking them too soon and not sticking with them throughout the year. This year seems different, though. For some reason, I can't stop thinking about things that I really need to work on in my life. So, I've decided to make some resolutions this year (a first for me). I haven't written them out yet, but I will certainly do that soon. When I do, I may just share some of them with you. Maybe that will help keep me accountable.

Also, I was watching the last part of Richard and Lindsey Roberts "Hour of Healing" show on TV last night, and Richard said something that really stuck with me (so much so, that I had to write it down). To set up the statement he made, he and his wife were talking about the importance of "planting seeds" and believing God for great things in your life. So, he said, "In 2009, do something you have never done before, so you can have something you've never had." Wow, that is an awesome statement. Sometimes we just need to take a leap of faith and do something awesome for God that we have never done before, and then we need to believe God to pour out His blessings over us! It's something to think about.

Well, I better go for now. Parker is going to be up from his nap soon. I'll get my resolutions written down soon, and then I will share some of them with you.

What about you? Do you make New Years resolutions? If so, and you don't mind sharing, what are yours? I would love to hear about them. Thanks!
