Happy Wednesday!

What a beautiful day it is today! I don't know about you, but this Alaska girl is loving the cooler weather. I am not one who just loves the summer heat, especially here in Oklahoma; so, I find it so refreshing when the fall-like weather arrives. It makes me want to put fall decorations up around the house and make a big pot of homemade chili. Oh, and I can't forget....it makes me want to watch OU football, too (that was for you, Michael)! I just pray this cooler weather is here to stay. That would be wonderful!

On another note, I just love Wednesdays at our house. Wednesdays are days that Blake attends his swimming lesson, and then we all go to church in the evening. It is so much fun to watch Blake's excitment on Wednesday mornings, as he is gearing himself up for his swimming lesson, as well as talking about how he can't wait to go to his Rainbow class at church that evening. Every Wednesday at breakfast, he prays a prayer something like this, "Dear Jesus, please help me to swim all by myself at swimming lessons today, and please help me to not be scared. Please help us to go to church tonight and help me to be nice to my friends. Amen." I just love to hear my boys pray! Anyways, Blake did well in his swimming lesson today. He has a wonderful teacher who really encourages him to swim without any help. Blake loves jumping off the diving board and going down the slide at the pool, too. Even though Easton is not in swimming lessons yet, he loves to go and watch his brother swim. Today he sat on a chair right next to me, completely content eating his cheez-its and watching Bubba swim. It's like he knows that this is what we do on Wednesday mornings! We will try to get Easton in swimming lessons when he turns three. I can't wait! He loves the water! Anyways, I hope you all get a chance to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.
