I was reading some blogs and saw that others were doing a Christmas questionarre. I thought it would be fun, so I gave it a try. I would love for you all to do this, too. Enjoy!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Gift bags are certainly a lot easier, but how can you pass up the cute Christmas wrapping paper!
2. Real tree or Artificial? Growing up, we always had a real tree. As a matter of fact, I have many memories of going with my family in the snow and cold weather to pick out the "perfect" tree. Since I've been married, we have had an artificial tree. I must say, even though the real trees smell so good, I prefer an artificial one. They are less messy, and you can put the same one up every year!
3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the week after Thanksgiving
4. When do you take the tree down the tree? After the new year
5. Do you like egg nog? I've never had a desire to try it. It just sounds gross!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? I always loved the new pajamas I would get. Also, I remember it was one year after I graduated college, but my dad bought me an espresso maker. That was pretty special!
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, one of my friends gave me one for my birthday a couple of months ago. It is so cute!
8. Hardest person to buy for? Definitely my dad and my father-in-law.
9. Easiest person to buy for? Blake and Easton
10.Mail or email Christmas cards? We mail our Christmas cards.
11.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't really think of one off hand.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I have a few. I enjoy watching the classics with the boys, like Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman. Also, I enjoy watching Christmas Vacation and Elf. Those two movies always make me laugh no matter how many times I've watched them. Oh, and this year I really want to sit down and watch It's a Wonderful Life once through. I have never watched it all the way through yet!
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I can think of...really, that's true!
14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My mom's chocolate fudge
15. Clear lights or colored on the tree? We put up clear lights at our house. They are so beautiful!
16. Favorite Christmas songs? Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, but I love all Christmas music. We have an all Christmas station here, and I am pretty sure it has been on every second we've been at home or in the car. I even listened to Christmas music on Thanksgiving day, as I was baking pies! I have three favorite Christmas cd's that I have been alternating, too. One is Kenny G's Christmas, the other is a Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Christmas cd (That one goes way back!), and my newest is a Michael Buble Christmas cd (My hubby bought that for me!). I love, love, love Christmas music!
17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? This year, we will travel to my in laws.
18. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blitzen, but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all...Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! Did I get them all?
19. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning
20. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Definitely the traffic near the mall and major stores!
21. Favorite ornament theme or color? Our tree has lots of different ornaments on it. We have some homemade ornaments the boys have made in daycare, as well as some that Michael and I had growing up. This year Blake picked out some new red Christmas balls at Walmart, and we put those up. They certainly add some nice color to our tree. Oh, and we added silver tinsel to our tree this year, and it looks so good with all the white lights! We have an angel as our tree topper. My mom bought it for me at a craft show several years ago, and it is still beautiful on top of the tree!
22. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? Dinner? What about dessert? I really like when my mother-in-law makes peanut brittle! I could eat those all day!
23. What do you want for Christmas this year? SNOW! I really miss having a white Christmas! Other than that, I can't think of anything specific for me. I truly enjoy watching my children open up their gifts, and that is plenty enough for me. Ok...I am getting teary eyed now. I better stop.
24. Who is most likely to respond to this? I'm not sure. I hope all of my friends and family join in!
25. Who is least likely to respond to this? Well, I'm not sure about this either. This is my first time doing something like this on the blog. I hope everyone joins in so we can learn more about each other.
Merry Christmas!
