I absolutely love Christmastime! It is my favorite time of year. I love the cold weather, the beautifully decorated trees, the lights, the smells, the music...well, if it has to do with Christmas, I LOVE IT! Most of all, I love the meaning of Christmas...a time to celebrate Christ's birth! As our children are getting a little older, we are trying to teach them that, yes, Christmas is a time for Santa and gifts, but, most importantly it is a time to celebrate the baby Jesus being born, as well as time to give to others! What a beautiful time of year this is! In the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas, I look forward to making Christmas cookies with the boys and then delivering some of them to others, making traditions, and spending LOTS of time with family! I am interested in hearing traditions your family has for Christmas. Maybe they are traditions that you did growing up and now have carried over into your own family. Let me know! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy these pictures of the boys by our tree, as well as in their Santa hats. In the third picture, you will see the mini white and silver trees that my mother-in-law and me made. We made them out of coat hangers, lights, and tinsel all held together by duct tape! Thanks, Diane, for showing me how to make those. I had so much fun and look forward to making more in the years to come!
