Being A Mom

Dear Blake and Easton,

As Mother's Day is approaching, I just wanted to tell you how much I love being your mommy. You two make me so proud, and I thank the Lord for you everyday. You both are growing up so fast, and I want to cherish every moment. Thank you for making my days so special. Thank you for making me smile and bringing such joy to my life. As I was getting ready to write this, I started thinking of the many reasons why I love being your mommy; so, I thought I would list some of them:

  • I love that you can't wait to go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. You both love to learn more about Jesus. That makes me so happy!
  • Blake, I love that you are doing such a terrific job learning your memory verses in your Rainbow's class. Awesome job!
  • Easton, I love listening to you sing about "Jonah and the Whale", and I love when you and your brother act out "David and Goliath".
  • I love reading the Bible together at night before going to bed. I love to watch your faces as we read the stories to you!
  • I love eating breakfast with you each day. We've gotta have our pop tarts and chocolate milk!
  • I love watching you play in the backyard together. You love to play on your swing set, or, sometimes I will look outside and see you two just sitting on your chairs talking to each other. Adorable!
  • I love eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with you at lunchtime.
  • I love doing puzzles with you.
  • I love watching you ride bikes. Blake, you are doing so well on your new "big boy" bike!
  • I love when you tell me, "Mommy, I think you're beautiful." It's kind of funny, because sometimes you say it right when I need it the most!
  • I love watching you wrestle with your daddy!
  • I love going fishing with you and daddy out at Papa and Nana's ponds!
  • Blake, I love watching you get better and better in your swimming lessons, and I love watching you play t-ball.
  • Easton, I love your tender heart and your sweet spirit. You melt my heart everyday!
  • Blake, I love your energy for life. You are so spirited and so funny. You bring so much joy to our day.
  • I love taking you both to the park. Blake, you love running around finding new friends to play with, and, Easton, you are perfectly content swinging on the swings almost the entire time.
  • I love how you look up to your daddy. He works very hard for our family, and he is a terrific role model.

Well, my list could go on and on, and I'm sure I have forgotten something to add to the list. All in all, I just want you two to know that I love you with all my heart, and I love being your mommy. It is the absolute best thing in the entire world. Please know that I am so very proud of you, and I look forward to watching you grow.

Love, Mom

Well, on another note, I couldn't end this post without recognizing my own mother. My mom is always giving of herself. She is so kind and so loving, always making sure everyone is taken care of before herself. She sacrifices everything for her children and grandchildren, and she is such a wonderful role model to me. She loves the Lord with all her heart, and she continually strives to do her very best in everything she sets her mind to. She never seizes to amaze me, and she inspires me daily. I love you, Mom! Thank you for being such a wonderful mother, friend, and "mamo". You truly are my hero!

Happy Mother's Day!

I pray that you all have a wonderful weekend with your family!
